Mr. Brewer was the Drum Major at Crawfordsville High School in Indiana, and received his Bachelors Degree in Music Education at the University of Evansville.  He was a Graduate Assistant and received a Masters Degree in Performance on Trombone at UE.  He also attended the University of Louisville and Indiana University for graduate work.

His professional performance experience includes the Evansville Philharmonic Evansville Symphonic Band and was an Executive Inn hotel musician, having performed with:

Mel Torme, Sammy Davis Jr., Four Tops, Temptations, Dionne Warwick, Tom Jones, Wayne Newton, Lettermen, Four Aces, Engelbert Humperdink, Red Skelton, Jack Jones, Frankie Avalon, Bobby Rydell, Bobby Vinton, Leslie Uggams, Carol Lawrence, Tony Martin, Cyd Charisse, Joey Heatherton, Charo, Suzanne Sommers, Jim Nabors, Chita Rivera, Ray Anthony, Smothers Brothers, Barbara McNair, Maguire Sisters, Brenda Lee, John Davidson, Patti Page, Vicki Carr, Ray Price, Glen Campbell, Foster Brooks, Ice Capades, and others.

He has directed State Finalist high school marching bands in Indiana, Kentucky and Florida, and has been an Adjunct Music Professor at both Elizabethtown Community College in Fort Knox, Kentucky and Edison Community College in Naples, Florida.

Mr. Brewer currently performs with the Broward Community College Concert Band in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
